Pasta in a pot
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- sour cream - 1 c
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 1/2
- ground beef - 1 lb
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- jar spaghetti sauce - 1 oz
- chopped mushrooms - 1/2 c
How to make pasta in a pot:
Brown ground beef. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped mushrooms, stewed tomatoes and spaghetti sauce. Simmer for 20 minutes. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain macaroni, then rinse. Pour 1/2 of the drained macaroni in deep casserole (4 1/2-quart). Pour 1/2 the sauce over macaroni, then cover with 1/2 the sour cream. Put a few slices of Provolone on top of sour cream layer. Repeat using remainder of macaroni, sauce, sour cream and Provolone cheese. Place all of Mozzarella cheese on top of this. Cover and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove lid and bake 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is browned.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
