Oyster stew
Ingredients/Components
- cheese - 1/2 c
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- chopped broccoli - 10 oz
- to 5 potatoes - 3 item
- cans cream of Cheddar soup - 2 item
- cans oysters* - 2 item
How to make oyster stew:
*May substitute 1/2 pound diced ham for oystersAdd milk into soup as directions on can indicate. Use either crock-pot or large kettle. Add slightly cooked broccoli and thyme. Dice potatoes with skins and fry. Add to soup mixture. Cook on low heat until broccoli is cooked to taste. Add oysters and cook briefly.
I usually use frozen broccoli and microwave on High for 4 to 5 minutes. If ham is used, it may be added initially.
