Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- brown sugar, firmly packed - 1/2 c
- walnuts - 1/2 c
How to make overnight crunch coffee cake:
Topping:1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 c. walnuts1/2 tsp. cinnamon1/4 tsp. nutmeg Sift flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon and salt. Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs beating well. Mix together. Alternate dry ingredients with buttermilk, beating well after each addition. Spread batter in greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Combine topping. Mix and sprinkle over batter. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Breakfast, American, Southern u.s..
