Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • raisins - 1 c
  • sour milk - 3/4 c
  • juice of 1 orange
  • piece of butter the size of an egg - 1 item
  • medium orange peel - 1 item

How to make orange cake:

Combine sugar, eggs, butter, sour milk and baking soda. Grind twice the orange peel and raisins. Add to mixture. Add flour and salt. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Make glaze from juice of orange and sugar. Spread on cake while hot.
