- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 3/4 c
- white cornmeal - 6 Tbsp
- or 6 drops hot pepper sauce - 5 item

- large onion, cut into 1/2-inch slices and separated into rings - 1 item
How to make onion rings:
Onion Rings: Crisco for frying1 large onion, cut into 1/2-inch slices and separated into rings Combine all batter ingredients in small mixing bowl. Stir until smooth. Heat 2 to 3 inches of Crisco in deep fryer to 375°. Dip a few onion rings in batter, letting excess batter drip back in bowl. Fry a few at a time, 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.
