Ingredients/Components

  • garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  • mayonnaise - 2 Tbsp
  • seasoned salt - 1/2 tsp
  • stick margarine, softened - 1 item
  • English muffins 6 - 1 pkg
  • jar Old English sharp Cheddar cheese - 1 oz
  • can crab meat do not use fresh - 1 oz

How to make broiled crab meltaways:

Slice each muffin in half and cut each half into four. Arrange on two cookie trays. Put the crab meat in your colander and rinse with cold water; drain well on paper towels. Mix the remaining ingredients in the small bowl of your mixer. Mix all of this well; add crab and spread on muffin quarters. You must then freeze these at least 30 minutes. Will keep for weeks.

When party time arrives, broil them until they puff up and are bubbly and slightly golden brown. Serve hot. If desired, you can leave the muffins in halves and serve these as a luncheon hot sandwich to accompany soup. Also great for a snack. These will disappear fast!
