  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • corn syrup - 1 tsp
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • chopped, cooked prunes - 1 c
  • Bake in Bundt pan or tube pan about 50 minutes

How to make prune cake:

Mix all the ingredients well and bake at 350° until cake tests done. Bake in Bundt pan or tube pan about 50 minutes. Cool.Buttermilk Frosting:1 c. sugar1 c. buttermilk1/3 c. butter or margarine1/2 tsp. soda1 tsp. corn syrup Mix in saucepan. Bring to a boil; boil 3 to 4 minutes. Spread over cooled Prune Cake.
