Oatmeal caramel bars
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 c
- quick cooking oatmeal - 2 c
- butter or margarine, melted
- brown sugar
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- or about 24 caramels - 1 pkg
- evaporated milk - 3/4 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- small chocolate chips - 1/2 c
How to make oatmeal caramel bars:
Mix first six ingredients together and pat one-half of mixture into 9 x 13 pan. Melt caramels with evaporated milk. Pour over crust. Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over caramel mixture and top with remaining crust mixture. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie.
