Fresh apple cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- vanilla extract - 1 Tbsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- oil
- baking soda - 1 Tbsp
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- finely chopped pecans - 1 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- eggs unbeaten - 4 item
- apples, finely chopped Red Delicious - 2 item
- In large bowl, blend all dry ingredients
How to make fresh apple cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. In large bowl, blend all dry ingredients. Add oil, eggs and vanilla; mix well. (No electric mixer necessary; I use a large wire whisk.) Add apples last. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 cake pan. Bake for 45 minutes.Frosting:8 oz. cream cheese1 stick margarine1 box powdered sugar1 Tbsp. vanilla extract1 c. finely chopped pecans Mix cream cheese, margarine, sugar and vanilla until fluffy (for this, you will need to use an electric mixer!).
