  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar - 1/4 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • evaporated milk - 1/2 c
  • coconut - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan

How to make fruit cocktail cake:

Mix first 6 ingredients together. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix sugar and nuts. Sprinkle over top of batter. Bake at 375° for 35 to 45 minutes. Remove from oven and spread with topping.Topping:3/4 c. white sugar1/2 c. evaporated milk1/2 c. butter1/2 c. coconut1 tsp. vanilla Boil topping for 5 minutes, then pour over cake.
