Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- coconut - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Mix first 6 ingredients together. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix sugar and nuts. Sprinkle over top of batter. Bake at 375° for 35 to 45 minutes. Remove from oven and spread with topping.Topping:3/4 c. white sugar1/2 c. evaporated milk1/2 c. butter1/2 c. coconut1 tsp. vanilla Boil topping for 5 minutes, then pour over cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
