Oatmeal cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- nuts - 1/4 tsp
- stick butter - 1 item
- white sugar - 1 c
- oats uncooked - 1 c
- small can coconut - 1 item
How to make oatmeal cake:
Pour boiling water over oats. Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Cream butter and sugar; beat until fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Add oats and spices. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350°. Do not remove from pan.Melt all icing ingredients until pourable. Pour over cake. Place cake under broiler for 2 minutes or until brown.
