  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • nuts - 1/4 tsp
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • oats uncooked - 1 c
  • small can coconut - 1 item

How to make oatmeal cake:

Pour boiling water over oats. Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Cream butter and sugar; beat until fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Add oats and spices. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350°. Do not remove from pan.

Melt all icing ingredients until pourable. Pour over cake. Place cake under broiler for 2 minutes or until brown.
