  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • egg yolks - 2 item
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • nuts - 1 c
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • can coconut - 1 item
  • oatmeal 3 minutes - 1 c
  • Add oatmeal

How to make oatmeal cake:

Let oatmeal stand in boiling water while you mix the rest of the ingredients. Add oatmeal. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.Icing:1 c. brown sugar1 c. milk1 stick butter2 egg yolks1 can coconut1 c. nuts Boil brown sugar, milk, butter and yolks for 2 minutes. Cool and add coconut and nuts.
