- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- egg yolks - 2 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- shortening - 1/2 c
- nuts - 1 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- white sugar - 1 c
- can coconut - 1 item
- oatmeal 3 minutes - 1 c
- Add oatmeal
How to make oatmeal cake:
Let oatmeal stand in boiling water while you mix the rest of the ingredients. Add oatmeal. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.Icing:1 c. brown sugar1 c. milk1 stick butter2 egg yolks1 can coconut1 c. nuts Boil brown sugar, milk, butter and yolks for 2 minutes.
