Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- coconut - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- nuts - 1 c
- oatmeal - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- well beaten eggs - 2 item
- Topping:2/3 stick melted butter
How to make oatmeal cake:
Topping:2/3 stick melted butter1/2 tsp. vanilla3/4 c. brown sugar2 c. coconut1 c. nuts1/4 c. milk Mix boiling water into oatmeal. Set aside to cool. Cream together butter, white sugar and brown sugar. Add to oatmeal. Add eggs; mix well. Add flour, salt, soda and cinnamon. Pour into greased and floured sheet cake pan. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.Mix Topping ingredients together and pour over top of cake while cake is still hot.
