Oatmeal cake

Ingredients/Components

• boiling water
• oats - 1 c
• stick oleo - 1 item
• sugar - 1 c
• brown sugar - 1 c
• eggs - 2 item
• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• flour
• soda - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
• Let stand for 20 minutes
• vanilla - 1/2 tsp
• Milnot - 1/4 c
• chopped nuts - 1 c
• Angel Flake coconut - 1 c

How to make oatmeal cake:

Pour boiling water over oats and oleo. Let stand for 20 minutes. Use 3 minute oats. Add sugars, eggs, cinnamon, flour, soda, salt and nutmeg. Bake 35 minutes at 350° in long flat pot.Frosting:6 Tbsp. soft oleo1/2 tsp. vanilla1/4 c. Milnot1 c. chopped nuts1/2 c. sugar1 c. Angel Flake coconut While cake is baking, mix ingredients. When cake is done, spread on hot cake. Place under broiler until coconut is brown. Do not cook icing.
