Oatmeal cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
• eggs - 2 item
• milk - 2 Tbsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• chopped nuts - 1 c
• stick margarine - 1 item
• brown sugar - 1 c
• water
• soda - 1 tsp
• cocoa - 1 Tbsp
• flour unsifted
• quick Quaker oats - 1 c
• Allow to stand 30 minutes

How to make oatmeal cake:

Combine margarine and water; add oats. Allow to stand 30 minutes. Add eggs, sugar and brown sugar; mix well. Add flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Bake in a 12 x 13-inch pan at 350° for 35 minutes (grease and flour pan).Topping:6 Tbsp. margarine1/2 c. brown sugar2 Tbsp. milk1 c. chopped nuts1 Tbsp. cocoa Mix well. While cake is still warm, spread mixture on top and broil until brown (only a few minutes).
