Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- water
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1 Tbsp
- flour unsifted
- quick Quaker oats - 1 c
- Allow to stand 30 minutes
How to make oatmeal cake:
Combine margarine and water; add oats. Allow to stand 30 minutes. Add eggs, sugar and brown sugar; mix well. Add flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Bake in a 12 x 13-inch pan at 350° for 35 minutes (grease and flour pan).Topping:6 Tbsp. margarine1/2 c. brown sugar2 Tbsp. milk1 c. chopped nuts1 Tbsp. cocoa Mix well.
