Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 item
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1 Tbsp
- boiling water
- self-rising flour
- allspice - 1 tsp
- quick cooking oats - 1 c
- Cream sugar and eggs; add oat mixture and dry ingredients
How to make oatmeal cake:
Mix oats, water and margarine; let stand for 20 minutes. Cream sugar and eggs; add oat mixture and dry ingredients. Mix well. Turn into greased and floured pans. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until done.Icing/Topping:2 Tbsp. butter, softened1/4 c. milk3/4 c. brown sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. coconut chopped nuts Heat all ingredients except nuts and coconut in saucepan.
