Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- sweet milk - 1 c
- nut meats - 1/2 c
How to make nut bread:
Cream egg, sugar and shortening. Slowly add milk. Mix well. Add flour and baking powder; mix well. Add nuts.Place in a greased and floured bread pan. Let rise for 20 minutes in a warm place. Bake in a moderate 350° oven for 1 hour.
One cup of evaporated milk may be substituted for the sweet milk.
Sweet milk is regular milk, not 2%.
