Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 C
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- molasses - 1/2 C
- nuts, chopped - 1 C
- sour milk - 2 C
- white flour - 2 C
- graham flour - 2 C
How to make nut bread:
Mix and sift dry ingredients. Add molasses and milk; mix thoroughly. Add nuts.A cup of raisins or other dried fruit may be added if desired. Turn into well greased pan. Bake at 325 degrees: large loaf for 1 1/2 hours; small loaf 1 hour.
Makes 1 large loaf or 2 small loaves.
