- water - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- sliced carrots - 1/2 c
- diced, cooked ham - 1 lb
- sliced celery - 1/2 c
- small navy beans - 1 lb
How to make navy bean soup:
Boil beans in 2-quart saucepan with plenty of water for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Let beans soak in pan with the water for at least 1 hour or overnight. Rinse and drain beans.
