Molasses crinkles
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
- molasses - 4 Tbsp
- ginger - 1 tsp
- plain flour
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
How to make molasses crinkles:
Mix shortening, brown sugar, egg and molasses well, then add remaining ingredients. Mix well and pinch off. Roll about the size of a small walnut. Roll in sugar and place on a greased cookie sheet. Do not press; they will flatten out as they cook. Heat oven to 350°. Cook for 10 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Hand Formed cookies.
