- sugar - 2 c
- flour - 4 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- molasses - 1 c
- hot water
How to make molasses cake:
For Batter:2 c. hot water1 c. molasses1 tsp. baking soda Mix up the crumbs. In a separate bowl, mix the batter. Add three-fourths of the crumbs to the batter; mix with a spoon.
