Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- molasses - 1/2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- flour plain - 2 c
- mixed spice allspice - 1 tsp
How to make molasses cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add molasses, beaten egg and milk. Add flour with baking soda, baking powder, salt and spice. Mix well. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Northeastern U.S..
