  • cream of tartar - 2 tsp
  • lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • Ritz crackers - 36 item
  • cinnamon to taste - 1 item
  • grated peel of 1 lemon
  • pastry for 2 crust pie

How to make mock apple pie:

Break the crackers coarsely. Put into pastry lined pan. Combine the water, sugar and cream of tartar in a saucepan. Boil gently 15 minutes; add lemon juice and peel. Cool. Pour syrup over crackers. Dot with butter and sprinkle cinnamon. Cover with top c
