Minestrone soup
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- water
- freshly ground pepper - 1/2 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1 item
- chopped green onions - 1 c
- diced celery - 1 c
- shredded cabbage - 1 c
- uncooked macaroni - 3/4 c
- dried whole basil - 1 tsp
- diced carrot - 1 c
- can whole tomatoes undrained, chopped - 1 oz
- beef flavored bouillon cubes - 6 item
- can red kidney beans undrained - 1 oz
- can white kidney beans undrained - 1 oz
- lean salt pork, finely diced - 1/4 lb
How to make minestrone soup:
Saute pork in a large Dutch oven until crisp; drain. Add remaining ingredients except macaroni and cheese. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
