Milky way cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• eggs - 4 item
• vanilla - 2 tsp
• buttermilk
• baking powder - 1/4 tsp
• pinch of salt - 1 item
• sifted flour
• pecans - 1 c
• sticks butter or margarine - 2 item
• 10-cent Milky Way candy bars - 8 item

How to make milky way cake:

Melt candy and butter in double boiler; set aside. Cream sugar and eggs. Combine dry ingredients and add, alternately with Milky Way mixture and buttermilk, to the egg-sugar mixture. Mix well. Add vanilla and pecans. Beat well.

Grease and flour four (8-inch) cake pans. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Or grease and flour stem pan and bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours. Cool and frost.
