  • butter, softened - 1/4 c
  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped pecans - 1/2 c
  • butter or margarine - 1/2 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • buttermilk - 4 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • pecans - 1 item
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • ripe bananas, mashed - 3 item
  • Icing:1 mashed banana

How to make banana nut cake:

Icing:1 mashed banana1/4 c. butter, softened pecans1 box powdered sugar Mix together in small bowl the buttermilk and the baking soda; put aside. Mix remaining ingredients together. Add buttermilk and soda mixture. Mix together well.

Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° about 30 to 45 minutes.

For icing, mix together all ingredients. After cake cools, pour on icing.
