  • sugar - 2 c
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item

How to make sugar cookies:

Cream sugar and Crisco well. Add 2 eggs; beat well. Add buttermilk and soda. Add flour, one cup at a time, with baking powder, salt and vanilla. Drop from spoon. Dip bottom of glass (use glass with flat bottom) in sugar and cinnamon; flatten cookies.
