Ingredients/Components

  • cans refried beans - 2 item
  • medium avocados - 3 item
  • lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • mayonnaise - 1/2 c
  • taco seasoning - 1 pkg
  • picante sauce optional - 1 item
  • finely diced onion - 1 item
  • chopped black olives optional - 1 item
  • chopped tomato - 1 item
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 16 oz

How to make mexican layer dip:

Whip refried beans; spread over shallow baking dish. Mash avocados. Add lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste. Smooth over bean layer. Combine sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasoning. Spread over avocado layer. Add remaining ingredients in progressive layers. Refrigerate at least one hour.
