- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- cornmeal - 1 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- can cream-style corn - 1 item
- Cheddar cheese - 8 oz
- large onion - 1 item
- jalapeno peppers - 4 item
- grease or oil - 1/2 c
How to make mexican cornbread:
Brown ground beef and onion; drain. Mix together first 5 ingredients. Put half in skillet. Add ground beef and onion, then add cheese and chopped jalapeno peppers. Cover with remaining cornmeal mixture. Sprinkle cheese on top. Cook at 375° for 50 to 55 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
