Mexican cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 tsp
- milk
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour
- oil - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 6 tsp
- cornmeal
- beaten eggs - 3 item
- grated cheese - 2 c
- large onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- can cream-style corn - 1 item
- jalapeno peppers, finely chopped - 3/4 c
How to make mexican cornbread:
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except cheese and peppers. Add grated cheese and jalapeno peppers. Pour into two 9 x 12-inch pans or one 12 x 18-inch pan. Bake at 375° for 35 to 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
