Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 tsp
  • milk
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • flour
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 6 tsp
  • cornmeal
  • beaten eggs - 3 item
  • grated cheese - 2 c
  • large onion, finely chopped - 1 item
  • can cream-style corn - 1 item
  • jalapeno peppers, finely chopped - 3/4 c

How to make mexican cornbread:

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except cheese and peppers. Add grated cheese and jalapeno peppers. Pour into two 9 x 12-inch pans or one 12 x 18-inch pan. Bake at 375° for 35 to 45 minutes.
