  • eggs - 2 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • cornmeal - 1 c
  • chopped onion - 1 item
  • chopped green pepper - 1/2 item
  • grated cheese - 1 c
  • ground meat - 1 lb
  • can cream-style corn - 1 item
  • jalapenos to taste - 1 item

How to make mexican cornbread:

Brown 1 pound ground meat, onion, green pepper and jalapenos. Mix remaining ingredients into batter. Spread a layer of 1/2 batter, meat, then remaining batter. Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 350° for 40 minutes.
