Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- Cheddar cheese, shredded
- whole eggs - 3 item
- yellow corn meal - 1 c
- bacon drippings - 1/3 c
- small can Mexicorn - 1 item
- to 4 chopped jalapeno peppers use according to taste - 3 item
How to make mexican corn bread:
Mix all dry ingredients, then add other ingredients, ending with bacon fat. Use an iron skillet if you have one. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
