Mexican corn bread
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- grated Cheddar cheese
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- corn meal
- small can creamed corn - 1 item
- to 5 green onions, chopped - 4 item
- to 6 chopped jalapeno peppers - 3 item
How to make mexican corn bread:
Mix cornmeal, flour, salt and soda. Add buttermilk, eggs, oil and corn. Beat and mix well. Stir in peppers and green onions.Grease 9 x 14-inch pan. Pour in half the batter and sprinkle with half the cheese, then repeat. Bake at 375° for 35 minutes.
