Ingredients/Components

  • lean ground beef
  • tomato sauce from 15 oz - 3/4 c
  • uncooked Quaker oats I use old fashioned - 3/4 c
  • egg or 2 egg whites - 1 item
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • lemon pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • Garnish: leftover tomato sauce
  • margarine - 1 tsp
  • dash of basil - 1 item

How to make meat loaf:

Garnish: leftover tomato sauce1 tsp. margarine1 tsp. lemon pepper dash of basil Preheat oven to 350°. Combine all ingredients; mix lightly, but thoroughly. Press into 8 x 4-inch loaf pan, which has been sprayed with Pam. Bake 1 hour. Drain; let stand 5 minutes. Slice while in loaf pan.

Garnish: In saucepan, combine all ingredients and heat. Serve over meat loaf instead of ketchup.
