Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • milk - 3 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • plain flour - 2 c
  • margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • brown sugar, packed - 3/4 c
  • cans mandarin oranges, drained - 2 oz
  • whipped topping optional - 1 item

How to make mandarin orange cake:

Beat eggs in large mixing bowl until lemon colored. Add oranges. Sift flour, sugar, soda and salt together. Add to orange mixture. Beat 4 minutes at low speed. Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° (preheated oven) for 30 to 35 minutes.

Combine brown sugar, milk and margarine in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Pour over hot cake. Serve with whipped topping, if desired. Serves 12.
