Mandarin orange cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- plain flour - 2 c
- margarine - 3 Tbsp
- brown sugar, packed - 3/4 c
- cans mandarin oranges, drained - 2 oz
- whipped topping optional - 1 item
How to make mandarin orange cake:
Beat eggs in large mixing bowl until lemon colored. Add oranges. Sift flour, sugar, soda and salt together. Add to orange mixture. Beat 4 minutes at low speed. Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° (preheated oven) for 30 to 35 minutes.Combine brown sugar, milk and margarine in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Pour over hot cake. Serve with whipped topping, if desired. Serves 12.
