Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • butter - 3 Tbsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • grated cheese - 1 c
  • macaroni - 1/4 lb
  • egg yolks, beaten - 3 item
  • egg whites, beaten - 3 item

How to make macaroni and cheese:

Cook macaroni in salted water and drain. Add egg yolks. Alternate layers of macaroni and cheese in greased baking dish. Place butter, flour, salt and pepper in double boiler; mix well. Add milk and cook until thickened. Pour over macaroni and cheese mixture. Fold in egg whites. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes.
