Light banana bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- egg whites - 2 item
- cooking oil - 1/4 c
- ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- mashed ripe banana - 1 c
How to make light banana bread:
Stir together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, baking powder and nutmeg. In a mixing bowl beat together egg whites, sugar and banana. Add oil and mix well. Stir flour mixture into banana mixture. Spray an 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pan with nonstick coating. Transfer batter to prepared pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 55 to 60 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan to 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool thoroughly on a wire rack. Makes one loaf.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Diabetic.
