Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 3 item
- egg whites - 3 item
- juice and rind of 1 lemon
- butter size of an egg, softened - 1 item
How to make lemon sponge pie:
Beat until creamy the sugar, flour, butter, egg yolks and salt. Add lemon juice and rind and milk. Whip well. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the lemon mixture. Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake at 325° for about 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
