Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- sugar - 1 c
- sweet milk - 1 c
- melted butter - 1 Tbsp
- juice and grated rind of 1 lemon
How to make lemon sponge pie:
Combine sugar and flour. Add beaten egg yolks and milk. Add lemon juice, rind and butter. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture carefully. Pour in unbaked pastry shell and bake for 60 minutes in a slow oven.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
