  • sugar - 1 c
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/3 tsp
  • egg whites, beaten stiff - 2 item
  • flour level - 3 Tbsp
  • egg yolks, beaten well - 2 item
  • lemon juice and a little rind - 1 item

How to make lemon pudding cake:

Mix flour, sugar and salt together. Add well-beaten egg yolks. Add lemon and milk; mix well. Fold in beaten egg whites. Set dish in pan of warm water. Bake like custard for about 35 minutes at 350°. This recipe forms a little light cake on top and a smooth delicious sauce underneath. Serve cold with whipped cream or just plain.
