Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- unbeaten eggs - 2 item
- maraschino cherries, drained and chopped - 1/2 c
- grated rind of 1 lemon save the juice
How to make lemon nut bread:
Bake in loaf pan at 350° for 60 minutes or until done. When fresh from oven, pour over 1/4 cup sugar mixed with the juice from the lemon.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Quick breads.
