Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 6 Tbsp
- cold water - 1/2 c
- boiling water
- fresh lemon juice - 1/2 c
- grated lemon peel - 1 tsp
- well beaten egg yolks - 3 item
How to make lemon meringue pie:
Sift the first 3 ingredients into a 2 or 3-quart saucepan, then gradually blend in the cold water and lemon juice. When smooth, add egg yolks and butter, blending thoroughly. Stirring constantly, gradually add boiling water. Bring mixture to a full boRecipe categories: Pie, Pies and tarts, Cakes.
