Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 2
- salad oil
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- sherry
- deboned chicken - 1 lb
- salad oil for frying - 2 c
- Batter:2 eggs
- to 2 lemons, thinly sliced - 1 item
How to make lemon chicken:
Marinade:1 Tbsp. sherry1/2 tsp. salt1 Tbsp. soy sauce1/2 tsp. sugar Lemon Sauce:1 Tbsp. salad oil1 tsp. salt3 Tbsp. sugar1 Tbsp. cornstarch1 to 2 Tbsp. lemon juice Batter:2 eggs1/2 c. cornstarch1/2 tsp. baking powder Cut chicken into bite size pieces. Marinate chicken 15 to 30 minutes. Beat eggs; add cornstarch and baking powder. Beat until it forms smooth batter. Heat oil to 375°. Coat chicken pieces with batter and deep fry 4 to 5 minutes or until brown. Drain on paper towel.Lemon Sauce: Heat oil and slowly add remaining ingredients, stirring constantly, until sauce is clear. Pour over chicken and garnish with lemon slices.
