Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder
- shortening - 1/2 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- rind of 1 lemon, grated
- lemon juice from jar - 1 tsp
How to make lemon bread:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Add milk alternately with flour mixture, adding grated lemon rind during mixing. Put into greased loaf pan and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. When done and while still hot, pour juice of one lemon with 1/4Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Oven.
