Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- oregano - 2 tsp
- Mozzarella cheese - 2 c
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- lasagna - 1 pkg
- ground round - 2 lb
- sharp Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- creamed cottage cheese - 1 pt
- onions, minced
- 3 can tomato puree
How to make lasagna:
Sauce:1/4 c. onions, minced2 cloves garlic, minced2 lb. ground round1 (No. 3) can tomato puree2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste2 tsp. oregano2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pepper Sauce: Cook meat in a large skillet, together with garlic and onions until lightly browned. Add tomato puree, tomato paste, oregano, salt and pepper. Cook, covered, over low heat for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Cook lasagna noodles; drain. Place lasagna in long, shallow baking dish. Layer meat sauce, then layer strips of lasagna. Add cottage cheese; layer Mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese; continue layers until all ingredients are gone. Top with Cheddar and Mozzarella cheeses. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 40 minutes, or until bubbly. Makes 6 to 8 servings.Recipe categories: Ground beef, Beef, Lasagna.
