Lace cookies

Ingredients/Components

• vanilla - 1/2 tsp
• butter or margarine - 1/4 c
• shredded coconut - 1/2 c
• sifted flour - 1/2 c
• dark corn syrup - 1/4 c
• brown sugar, packed - 1/4 c

How to make lace cookies:

Combine flour and coconut. Melt butter, brown sugar and syrup. Bring to boil. Remove from heat. Blend in flour and coconut mixture. Add vanilla. Drop by teaspoon about 3-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325° for 8 to 10 minutes. Allow cookies to set a few minutes before placing on a paper towel. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
