Kahlua candied yams
Ingredients/Components
- Kahlua - 1/4 c
- brown sugar - 1/3 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- 3 oz - 4 yams,
How to make kahlua candied yams:
Cut yams in serving-size pieces in heavy skillet; melt butter with sugar. Add Kahlua, cook for 1 minute. Add yams; turn until brown on all sides. Cover. Reduce heat, cook about 15 minutes. Turn yams once more before serving. Serves 4 to 6.To cook yams: In large saucepan, boil unpeeled yams until tender, but still firm. Remove from pan; let cool slightly. Peel.
