Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- sour cream - 1 c
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar - 1 item
- dash of salt - 1 item
- jam - 1 c
- nutmeg and cinnamon - 1 item
- spices to taste - 1 item
- Stir in eggs, one at a time
How to make jam cake:
Cream shortening and sugar. Stir in eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream. Add jam. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.Caramel Icing:1 stick butter1 c. brown sugar1/4 c. milk powdered sugar Melt butter and add brown sugar. Cook 2 minutes, then add milk and let come to a boil.
