  • sugar
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 1/4 c
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • powdered sugar - 1 item
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • jam - 1 c
  • nutmeg and cinnamon - 1 item
  • spices to taste - 1 item
  • Stir in eggs, one at a time

How to make jam cake:

Cream shortening and sugar. Stir in eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream. Add jam. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.Caramel Icing:1 stick butter1 c. brown sugar1/4 c. milk powdered sugar Melt butter and add brown sugar. Cook 2 minutes, then add milk and let come to a boil. Cool and add powdered sugar to right consistency.
