  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • milk - 3 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 5 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • powdered sugar

How to make cut out cookies:

Icing:16 oz. powdered sugar1/2 c. butter1 tsp. vanilla3 Tbsp. milk Icing: Mix until creamy and put on cookies.

Cookies: Preheat oven to 350°. Cream butter, shortening, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda and salt. Add gradually to creamed mixture. Chill dough overnight. Roll dough and cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Place cookies on well-greased cookie sheet and bake 8 minutes. Then ice.
