Jalapeno cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 2/3 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- Wesson oil - 1/4 c
- chopped jalapeno peppers - 4 oz
- plain cornmeal - 1 c
- small can Niblets corn - 1 item
How to make jalapeno cornbread:
Combine all ingredients except cheese and mix well. Pour 1/2 batter into greased 9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle cheese evenly and top with remainder of batter. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 375°.Recipe categories: Breads, Grains, Pasta, rice and grains.
